Recent Trips

Apparently, I fail at updating this. Whoops!

Last month, I went to the Festival of the Cranes at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, so be on the lookout for photos in the near future! It was an amazing week, and I would love to go back for next year's festival. Bird migrations are AMAZING, and they are under real threat of disappearing if we do nothing to conserve our remaining wild spaces. It's crazy to think that a hundred years ago, there were 40% more birds, but that's the sad reality. Our actions have a direct impact on the environment, and every little bit we do to make ourselves a little more green does make a difference.

I'm currently wrapping up a trip to NYC, and I had a chance to visit the Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, and the Bronx Zoo. So expect lots and lots of zoo animal photos after my pictures from the Festival of the Cranes go up. So many photos, so little time. XD

Xerxes is a daddy! :D He has three boys.
I may make a visit to Seattle in December/January (depending on time & weather) buut Seattle winters are usually pretty rainy and cold, so I don't know if I'll see the kids or not. The temperature usually has to be between 50-60 degrees I think for cubbies to come outside. At least that's how it was for the Oregon Zoo cubs, and Portland is really similar to Seattle in terms of weather
